1. Which data we keep
- When you order: name, address, e-mail address, what you ordered and how you paid. We need these to deliver and for our accounts.
- With an account: the same data plus your password (encrypted), so you can look up your orders.
- For the newsletter: only your e-mail address. You can unsubscribe with the link at the bottom of every mail.
- Through the contact form: your name, e-mail address and message.
2. What we use them for
To handle your order, to answer you and, if you want it, to send the newsletter. We do not sell data, we do not send advertising from others and we do not build profiles.
3. Who we share them with
Only with those needed to deliver: the payment service (PayPal, or your bank for a transfer), the carrier (bpost) for name and address, and our accountant for the invoices. Beyond that only when the law requires it.
4. How long
Order data and invoices are kept for seven years, as the law requires. An account stays until you have it deleted. The newsletter until you unsubscribe.
5. Cookies
The shop only uses cookies it needs to work: your language, your cart and whether you are logged in. No advertising cookies, no third-party trackers.
6. Your rights
You may see your data, have it corrected or have it deleted. Ask through the contact form; we answer within a month. Not satisfied? You can turn to the Belgian Data Protection Authority (dataprotectionauthority.be).
7. Terms of sale
- Prices are in euro, including VAT, excluding shipping. You see the shipping costs at checkout, before you confirm.
- Every copy is unique. A book in your cart is yours once the order is placed and paid. If a book has been sold in the shop in the meantime, we let you know and refund you.
- Payment by PayPal or bank transfer. We ship after receiving the payment.
- Shipping and returns: see Shipping & returns. As a consumer you have 14 days to change your mind after receipt.
- Description: we describe every book as accurately as possible, with the usual codes for condition and binding (see Book conditions). If something is not right, let us know and we will find a solution.
- Disputes: Belgian law applies to these terms. In case of a dispute the courts of the district of Luxembourg (Belgium) are competent. You can also turn to the Consumer Ombudsman Service (consumerombudsman.be) or the European platform for online dispute resolution.
